Wolf Alice December 11 2017
The night was December 11th 2017. The ice and snow on the ground gave Atlanta a more Boston look for the night. The crowd was a surprisingly older group. I have never seen so many late 30s to 40s men and women at a Terminal West show that was not involving an older group. I made my way to stage left just before the main act Wolf Alice came out. Now I am not a huge Wolf Alice fan, I had heard a couple of their songs on the radio (mainly ballads), but nothing like I was about to hear tonight. The radio portrays them as an innocent band with lead singer who has a voice that can melt butter. Only one of these is true, and it is NOT the innocent part. The show had the energy of a car accident and the beauty of a painting. These two opposites combine to form a show you will never forget. The feedback from the guitars and the grimey sound made me want to bite my lip with intensity.
